Support to stop smoking

Stopping smoking is one of the best things you can do for your health and there is plenty of support to quit. It’s never too late to give up, for your health, your family’s and friends’ health, and your bank balance.

Research suggests that people who quit with the support of local stop smoking services are three times more likely to succeed, so you don't have to do it on your own.

There is a range of local support that can help you quit smoking by:

  • assessing the best way to help you
  • explaining what's happening to your body as you go through your quit journey
  • offering free stop smoking aids like nicotine replacement therapy (NRT), or vapes, which can be given to you on the spot.

If you are aged 12 and over you can get free, friendly support from the fully trained stop smoking advisors at Your Health Notts.

Your Health Notts is the service commissioned by Nottinghamshire County Council to support Nottinghamshire residents (children, young people, adults and families) to get active, lose weight, reduce alcohol intake and quit smoking. The service also provide support for falls prevention and family weight management.
